At Supreme Lube and oil we specialize in taking care of our customers automotive service needs. We are proud to carry Valvoline oil products – one of the best in the oil industry. We know the products we offer extend beyond the oils and filters we provide; we feel strongly our product is the focus around our professional and friendly approach to our customers.
A regular oil change is an essential part of your vehicle’s preventative maintenance. In addition to changing the oil and oil filter, we also make sure the tires have plenty of air and the fluids are topped off. But that’s not all. Supreme Lube & Oil offers a full inspection as part of our oil change service. We can even help determine the best type of oil to use in your vehicle.
Transmission Fluid Flush: No matter what type of vehicle you drive, preventative maintenance is an important part of caring for your transmission system. Periodic transmission fluid changes are an easy way to prevent more costly problems, such as a transmission rebuild. Old transmission fluid can become dirty over time, causing damage to your transmission components. At Supreme Lube & Oil, our transmission service removes your old, dirty transmission fluid, and we then replace it with new, clean fluid (and a new filter) – just what your transmission needs for optimum performance.
Supreme Lube and Oil is an “On The SPOT” station. That means we can test your vehicle’s emissions, renew your registration, and provide your new plate decal all in a single visit. The registration payment can be paid at our shop and goes directly to the State of Utah. How convenient is that?
Emissions:
Some people get confused about emissions. Emissions regulations vary from state to state and in Utah you don’t have to get your emissions done every year.
This is the policy for Salt Lake County: Before you may register a motor vehicle (either gasoline or diesel-powered) for operation in Salt Lake County, it must pass an emissions test. Vehicles less than six years old are tested every other year. Vehicles more than six years old must be tested every year.
Windshield Wipers/Blades – Changing your windshield wiper blades is pretty simple, but not something we think about regularly. Sadly the elements are more persistent at wearing them down then we are about checking them. Most of us find out if our wiper blades are good or not when a blizzard hits, right? We regularly check your wiper blades and keep them up to date so you are prepared before the weather hits.
Engine Oil System Cleaning Service – An engine flush is a chemical additive designed to clean accumulated deposits, sludge and other gunk from your engine. We pour it into your engine’s oil-filler port and idle the engine for about 10-15 minutes.
Manual Transmission Service – A manual transmission works quite differently than an automatic. Our technicians will also check your manual transmission, if your vehicle has one. This includes checking the manual transmission lubricant that protects the gears, bearings, shafts, and other internal components of your vehicle, and is an important preventative maintenance. Some signs to look for that might indicate your manual transmission needs to services include hesitating when shifting into gear; odd noises; slipping gears; or the vehicle surging forward or backward while driving.
Differential Service – When your car turns what keeps them from hopping or scrubbing along the pavement? It is your differential which allows your outside wheel to turn faster than the inside wheel. Most differentials need a fluid change at about 50,000 miles. If left too long or if the fluid starts to run low, the differential will become noisy and can eventually fail.
Power Steering Service – Power steering gives modern vehicles the ability to turn without a lot of physical effort when turning the steering wheel. A power steering flush removes all the old fluid from the system and clears out any accumulated grime and debris.
Tire Rotation – Each tire and wheel is removed from your vehicle and moved to a different position. to ensure that all tires wear evenly and last longer. Tires should be rotated every six months or 6,000 to 8,000 miles.
Air Filters – These are considered a part of the fuel supply system in a vehicle, a vehicle air filter helps to keep the engine clean and free of debris. Not only does a properly working air filter keep the air for the combustion process clean, a clean filter helps improve a vehicle’s overall gas mileage.
